Shanghai Matsuo was established in Xidu Town Fengxian District on March 26th 1996 with registered capital USD9.95 million, total land area 60,000 ㎡ and 6,600 ㎡ covered land area. The workshop capacity was 10,000MT per year.
On Sep 9th 2005, Matsuo turned into a joint adventure after China Nanshan Development (Group) joining as the major shareholder. Registered capital increased to USD12.8 million. The Phase I expansion plan started in 2006 and finished in 2007. That led to a total land area increase to 100,000 ㎡, the workshop area to 21,000 ㎡ and a growth of workshop capacity to more than 30,000MT annually.
Matsuo won the first award from Bechtel on January 21st 2006. It was AGD II Project in U.A.E. Punctual Delivery and expert product quality finally won appraisal from the client.
On May 8th, 2006, Dr. Fu Yuning, the director of China Merchants Group and chairman of China Nanshan Development (Group) made an audit in Shanghai Matsuo.
Shanghai Matsuo was awarded DIN 18800-7 Class E certificate on Dec 16th 2006 and became one of the few companies in China that boasts AISC, DIN and JIS H simultaneously.
The second contract from Bechtel-Motiva Refinery project in Texas started from March 20th 2007. This is one of the most significant projects in the United States due to the application of GB materials in bulk. In Jan 2009, Matsuo completed the project under schedule and quality specification, and meanwhile Shanghai Matsuo upgraded itself in both production management and quality controlling level.
On September 2nd 2008, Shanghai Matsuo was awarded another contract from AE&E Inova. This is the fourteenth project Shanghai Matsuo cooperated with AE&E. The project was located in Germany. The maximum boxing column is about 65 MT in weight and 30m in length.
On Oct 27th 2008, Shanghai Matsuo Board Meeting passed the Phase II expansion plan. After it is built in the end of 2010, the total land area will reach to 130,000㎡ and covered area to 50,000㎡. The total workshop capacity will be 60,000 MT per year.
On Dec 25th 2008, Shanghai Matsuo was awarded Edwardsport IGCC project, as the second project provided by Shanghai Matsuo, located in USA and also it was the third time cooperation with Bechtel.
Shanghai Matsuo was the only company in China who won the certification from DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik) for the application of GB material to be used in the industrial and architectural projects in Germany.
March, 2011 Shanghai Matsuo won the bid of structural steel package of Hay Point Coal Terminal Expansion Phase 3 Project, which is owned by BHP Billiton & Mitsubishi Alliance. Matsuo successfully delivered 7415 ton of steel structure for this project.
July, 2011 Shanghai Matsuo signed a long term cooperation agreement with VALE and was qualified as a long term steel structure supplier.
Feb, 2012 Shanghai Matsuo was awarded with EN1090 certificate and ranked as one of the few steel structure fabricator with AISC, EN1090, DIN and Japan H Level in China.
Feb, 2012 Shanghai Matsuo won the bid of the top girder fabrication for Manjung 4 Power Plant Project by Alstom Power, and initiated the cooperation with Alstom Power.
June, 2012 Matsuo was awarded another contract of 12000 ton steel structure for Tanjung Bin Power Plant by Alstom Power.
Aug, 2013 Shanghai Matsuo signed an Enterprise Framework Agreement with Shell, and qualified as one of Shell’s six global EFA supplier of steel structure discipline.
In 2016, Matsuo won contract of the first equipment steel structure project-Dragline Base Project, and the owner is world-famous mining company BHP. Matsuo got praise from the client due to the successful delivery and Matsuo won another Dragline Base Project again in 2020 and delivery in 2021.
In 2019, Matsuo won contract of the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Bridge Project, which is the first major steel bridge project of Matsuo. The design and fabrication are based on Japanese Standard. From fabrication to trail-assembly, the whole process was led by Chinese employees. Matsuo delivered 19000-ton steel structure in this project successfully. |
