The North Field East (NFE) Project is one of the world’s largest LNG developments. Shanghai Matsuo secured major steel structure packages under the project, with the awarded scope representing nearly 20% of the project’s total structural steel volume, making it one of the largest overseas steel structure orders in the company’s history.

The project marked Shanghai Matsuo’s first cooperation with Chiyoda and Technip Energies, and represented an important breakthrough into large-scale international LNG and oil & gas projects.

Through successful project execution, Shanghai Matsuo further strengthened its capabilities in high-specification energy steel fabrication and established a solid foundation for continued cooperation on subsequent Qatar LNG projects, including the North Field South (NFS) development.
